Hello! Long time no visit, I know. I think I found what is hopefully a bug - unless it's an Air thing.
At the end of the day I often use the right-click on the task bar to 'close all windows' - in most programs this prompt me to save any unsaved work if necessary and then close all the windows.
This is not what happens for Balsamiq. It does close all my open mockups - by the end of the day I usually have two or three open - and makes sure they are autosaved - which is perfect. But then it opens a new blank mockup, which I must then quit out of. (I actually have tried and cannot use the "close all windows" link at this time.
Playing around a bit, this appears to happen only when I open mockups by clicking on an existing mockup rather than opening the program directly via the task bar or the start button. (Yes, windows 7). But as I normally open the mockups directly, this is a consistent struggle for me when I do try to close out of the program quickly and go home.

Hi everyone,
Sorry if this has been answered previously, or if it's covered in the docs, but I couldn't find anything relating to this.
For the Balsamiq plugins for Confluence server (not cloud) and for JIRA server, is Mockups actually running on the hosted Confluence/JIRA server, or is it running from the myBalsamiq servers?
I'm just trying to gauge if there is anything we need to do from a networking perspective when setting this up in our environment?

I'm on a MacBook Air and after some time working in a project, the window turns black. I can still click elements (and they will reappear) but I need to quit the app and re-open to continue working. Any idea what happens there and how I can avoid this? See screenshot:

Twice now, when I've promoted an alternate version to the official version, the thumbnails in the frame to the left have been corrupted. If the original official version is A and the original alternate is B, I'm promoting B to be official. However, the thumbnail display for the "Official Version" remains A, and the thumbnail display for the "alternate version" is now blank.
However, this seems to be confined to a single project file - I can't replicate it with an older version of the same project.

Hello, I read somewhere that Jira and Balsamiq Desktop can be integrated. However, in our Jira (JIRA v7.0.10 ), I don’t see an option for this. We are on Desktop Version 3.4.4 . Has anyone been successful at getting this working?

Any time I go to the home page on MyBalsamiq on Safari, without Flash installed, it downloads "VPzsMdqZKFE" twice, which is a Flash file. Granted, I know, I can't access the full site without Flash, but often times I just want to look at an image or something, and downloading flash files by a factor of two every time I go to the home page is really annoying.

Whenever I cut something out and paste it again immediately it is in a different position, a bit lower and a bit more to the right.
Could you look into this, please?

It would be cool if there were a checkbox in the Balsamiq print dialogue to add the date to the top of the PDF. We've been making quite a few revisions here, but usually no more than 1 a day. Then I would know exactly which one is the most recent.

I adding notes to my mockups so it has a nice story view, but I cannot figure out the formating to get line breaks
All lines run together until I create a list which starts on a new line.

I want to change the spacing for the text contained in a few buttons I added without changing their size. Any suggestion?
I'm brand new to Balsamiq, I try (and will try) my best to use the documentation.

I'm exporting a project and am not getting mockup notes. Should I?
I'm guessing not given this post: notes not exporting to mybalsamiq

- Open up two projects A and B.
- Rename the mockup in project A to "foobar"
- Drag "foobar" mockup into project B
- Rename the newly copied mockup in project B to "barfoo"
- Drag "foobar" mockup from project A to project A again.
Expected Result
I'd expect the "foobar" mockup to be copied to project B again as it did in step 3.Experience Result
Balsamiq asks if I want to skip or overwrite the existing mockup (the one renamed to "barfoo").Environment:
OSX 10.11.4
Balsalmiq Mockup 3.4.4

I'm wondering how robust is project versioning.
I know I can restore an individual mockup to a previous version. Can I do that with a project and restore all mockups to a known point?
I would like to label an entire project as 'version 1', 'version 2', etc. and be able to restore all mockups to a previous version. Can I do that? Or do I have to label and restore every mockup?
Thanks.

Hi,
When I type the text subscriber_user_id into a text field, it is displayed as subscriber userid
i.e. with the user in italics and the underscore disappeared. This is probably some markup scheme you are using.
How do I turn it off. I literally want to see "subscriber_user_id" because it is a database field and it is literally called that.
many thanks.

Sure this has been asked before but I can't seem to find the answer. I'd like to insert a "down caret" in the heading section of a list box, but can't seem to find the right combination of keys.
Help appreciated.

I'm creating a wire frame for a new web app. The basic layout of the web app will include a top level panel for menu controls, icons etc.
Having designed the basic layout as a Balsamiq page, how can I store it and reuse it so that it becomes the starting point for other pages?

When exporting a lot of mockups to .png, it would be nice if the order in Balsamiq was preserved in the output. E.g. each output file was prepended with a number like "01_filename.png", "02_filename.png" etc.
This should probably be a setting upon export.
